Coronavirus in India: After the last one day in India, 71 thousand 365 new cases of Covid-19, the total number of infected in the country increased to 4 crores 24 lakh10 thousand 976. At the same time, the number of active patients decreased to 8 lakh 92 thousand 828. According to data released by the Central Ministry of Health, after the death of 1,217 more people in the country, the number of people who lost their lives from infection has increased to 5 lakh 5 thousand 279.
The number of active patients in the country has come down to 8 lakh 92 thousand 828, which is 2.11 percent of the total cases of infection. In the last 24 hours, the number of active Covid-19 patients is 1 lakh 2 thousand 63. The national rate of recovery of patients in the country is 96.70 percent.
The number of infected in the country had increased to 20 lakh on 7 August 2020, 30 lakh on 23 August, and 40 lakh on 5 September 2020. Total cases of infection went beyond 50 lakhs on 16 September 2020, 60 lakhs on 28 September, 70 lakhs on 11 October, 80 lakhs on 29 October, and 90 lakhs on 20 November 2020. These cases crossed over one crore on 19 December 2020 in the country. On May 4 last year, the number of infected had crossed two crores and on June 23, 2021, it had reached three crores.

The Ministry of Health reported that yet more than 70 percent of the patients who died of corona virus infection had other diseases. The Ministry stated on its website that its data is being matched with data from the Indian Council of Science Research (ICMR).
So far, 170.87 crore vaccine supplements have been given as part of the nationwide vaccination campaign. 1,72,211 people have recovered in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of people recovering from the corona has increased to 4,10,12,869. The positivity rate is 4.54%. There is a 74.46 crore corona test till now.
