West Bengal government takes measures like lockdown to prevent covid-19 and omicron spread across the state.

  • All entertainment Parks, Zoos, Tourist places shall remain closed.

The West Bengal government on Sunday announced a new Covid-19 ban on Covid-19 infections in the state in addition to the growing Omicron case. West Bengal Chief Secretary HK Dwivedi said all schools, colleges, universities, spas, salons, beauty parlours, zoos and amusement parks in the state would be closed from tomorrow.

  1. All local trains will operate with 50% capacity till 7 PM.
  2. All academic activities in schools, colleges, universities, Swimming Pools, Spa, beauty parlors,  parks and entertainment will remain closed.
  3. All government and private offices will operate at 50% capacity.
  4. All Restaurants and bars may operates with 50 % capacity till 10PM.
  5. 50 Persons shall be allowed for marriage ceremonies.
  6. 20 persons shall be allowed for funeral/burial services.
  7. Essential services are permitted from 10 am to 5 pm in the state.
  8. All shopping malls and markets would be allowed to open till 10 pm with 50% of their capacity.
  9. Movement of people and vehicles shall be prohibited between 10 PM to 5 AM only essential services are permitted.
  10. The restrictions will be imposed 3rd January.
