WhatsApp is the most used instant messaging app. Meta’s messaging service is constantly making new changes to its app, and now as an annual update, WhatsApp is going to stop its support on smartphone models of its old Android and iOS operating systems. In 2022, the app may end its support on about 50 iPhones and Androids. This list includes phones like iPhone 6S, iPhone SE, Samsung Galaxy phones, Sony Xperia M, HTC Desire 500, LG Optimus F7.
WhatsApp will soon no longer work on phones running Android 4.1, and will also no longer work on iPhones running iOS 9 and earlier.
According to a report posted by Sproutweird, WhatsApp will stop supporting many older phones in Brazil. There are about 100 million WhatsApp users in Brazil. At present, there is no information on whether it will be applicable in other countries including India or not.
